PEG - MH LD LOGO.png

The MHLD PEG are working to create change around traditional consultation approaches, and to develop more meaningful lived experience involvement through co-production.

The PEG is an enthusiastic group of people from a range of backgrounds and sectors across Grampian who are supportive of each other and promote a culture of equality and inclusion.

As a group we aim to work in a co-productive way and place lived experience at the heart of what we do.

The PEG welcomes new members and encourages them to participate and contribute to the work of the group in building a network of people with lived experience, who can be supported to help steer the Transformation Board in the modernisation of mental health and learning disability services in Grampian.

Meet the Volunteer Chair of the MHLD PEG, Amanda Foster

After Amanda was born, her mother noticed she wasn't looking around the room like other babies. It was not long before doctors discovered she was blind, as her retina and optical nerve had not developed.

It came as a challenge for her family, as they found a lack of support close to home in Aberdeen. But Amanda hasn't let her condition hold her back.
